Traditional Suncatchers

Available in a variety of designs, from a rosette to a specific breed, we are also happy to come up with a new design to fit your needs.

• Our traditional suncatchers measure approximately 6 3/4“ x 5“ (the rosette design is somewhat taller)

• Depending on the design, these can be engraved with club name, date, win for an additional fee (engraving will be done on one side only).

Pricing:

• $15 - Single layer design that is made using two layers of baltic birch with a thin, flexible layer of patterned acrylic sandwiched in between (reversible)

• $25 - Single layer design made using one layer of baltic birch and 1/8” thickness patterned acrylic (not reversible)

• $28 - Double layer design made using two layers of baltic birch and 1/8” thickness patterned acrylic (not reversible)

Anything that says ‘transparent acrylic‘ in the name will allow light to pass through. Darker colored patterns may allow less light. Patterns not labeled as ‘transparent‘ are opaque, regardless of the core material type chosen such as clear acrylic. *Please note that prices are for non-directional acrylic patterns, if you opt to use a certain pattern, costs may increase if additional materials are required (examples of directional patterns can be seen in both of the double layer designs shown below).

Hexagon Suncatcher / Window or Shelf Sitter

These measure 7.5”W x 6.25”H and can be done in a variety of designs depending on the breed and if there is a specific theme you are wanting to work with. These can be made with either a hang loop like our traditional suncatchers or without the hang loop and be used as a window or shelf sitter. Window or shelf sitters will have an additional piece of wood on the back at the bottom for stability.

Pricing is dependent on the number of layers of wood and type of acrylic chosen, however the base pricing is as follows:

• $30 - Three layer design with flex acrylic (thin, flexible patterned acrylic) with a fourth ‘frame’ layer on the back to secure the flex acrylic.

• $35 - Three layer design with 1/16” patterned acrylic as the back layer

Additional layers and/or hand painting can be done. These will require a custom price quote. Engraved text can also be added for an additional fee.

If purchasing these as either a window or shelf sitter, there will be two choices of acrylic. For a window sitter, transparent patterned acrylic (the same that is used in all of our suncatchers) will be used. If the item is to be used as a shelf sitter, we recommend using opaque patterned acrylic that is not transparent as the colors will be more vibrant when there is no light passing through it.

Square Suncatcher

These measure 9.5” x 9.5” and feature two layers of wood with 1/16” transparent patterned acrylic on the back. Can be done in a variety of designs depending on the breed and theme that is used. $40
